A few weeks ago my friend Natalie and I headed out to explore a bit of Middlesex Fells with Behr. We parked by the Virigina Woods entrance and headed in. We immediately came upon the brook and a few bridges.
While exploring that area we noticed part of the path looped around an area that looked to have once been a small pond or marshy area that was currently dry but still had lily pads growing in it. There we found these rocks that had been carved with lots of lines bordering the path.
We eventually decided to cross the street to take a longer walk, however, we didn’t get far. We let Behr off leash a bit and during that time and he decided it would be a good idea to roll around in poop. After that we headed back towards the car and tried to use our water to clean him off.

We took our time on the way back, exploring a bit since we hadn’t been there very long. We came across these stone walls that, like a pool, get deeper at one end and even found some caution tape in the woods above it. We weren’t sure what to make of it but the vines crawling all over it looked pretty cool, nature reclaiming.
Natalie decided to walk into this black hole that looked a bit like a fort you may have made as a kid but made by a bunch of trees and vines.
Behr really doesn’t care about dirt, after we finally got most of the poop off he was hot and decided to sit down right in some dirty water. We just barely got away from the dirty shower he sent our way when he stood up!

In the path on the way back to the car was this tree with octopus like tentacles for tree roots in the middle of the path.

And Behr, being the goof ball that he is, found a new way to sit in the car and still try to be close to the people in the front. Head squished between the car door and car seat!
